The Story Behind…
Denim Rock

It was on Senator Highway, the main “off-road” to Prescott, Arizona that we found Denim Rock.  Senator Highway is located in the Bradshaw Mountains where a geological history of Precambrian schist, granite and volcanic rocks cover the hills and mountains.  These rock formations never stand alone as beautiful flowers trail and lichen attach to their surface.
 
This Denim Rock conjured up visions of blue cowboy denim softened by the trailing flowers and light green lichen…a beautiful sight to behold in the midst of mountainous and rocky terrain.
