In 1884, George Eastman patented the first roll film and in 1888 released the Kodak camera, the first camera designed for roll film. The Kodak camera came preloaded with film and at the end of the roll the entire camera was mailed to Kodak which was returned with a new roll of film inside and all your images printed on photographic paper.
This invention revolutionized photography, allowing the average person to take photographs without having to deal with a special camera, metal or glass plates, chemicals and a darkroom.
Photography arrived!
In 1947, the process of creating a printed image in a minute was demonstrated and in 1948 the first Polaroid camera debuted.
Since then, a number of “instant” cameras have come and gone, with millions of “polaroids” stored in millions of homes.
Below are some samples of Print restoration.
